Terms of Use

Effective October 8, 2026

These terms apply to the Hand Therapy Toolbox at handtherapytoolbox.com (the “Toolbox”), which is published and sold by Alex Salinas Villar, OTR/L (“I”, “me”). By creating an account or purchasing access you agree to them.

1. What you are buying

A purchase is a one-time payment for a personal, non-transferable licence for one person to view the Toolbox online. It is not a subscription. Access continues for as long as the Toolbox is offered. I may add to, correct or reorganise the content at any time.

2. Your account

You sign in with a code sent to your email address, so keep access to that inbox secure. One purchase is for one person. An account can be signed in on up to two devices at a time. Sharing an account, a sign-in code or the content with other people is not allowed, and shared accounts may be closed without a refund.

3. Professional use only

The Toolbox is an educational reference for licensed therapists and for students working under supervision. It is not medical advice and does not create a therapist–patient relationship with anyone. It does not replace the operative report, the surgeon’s orders, your facility’s protocols or your own clinical judgment. Phase timing alone never clears a patient to progress. You are responsible for the care you provide. Patients should not use the Toolbox to treat themselves.

4. Ownership of the content

The protocols, Pro Hand Tips, diagrams and all other content are owned by Alex Salinas Villar and protected by copyright. You may not copy, download in bulk, republish, sell, share or distribute the content, or use automated tools to collect it. Brief quotation with credit, for teaching or discussion, is fine.

5. Payment and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. All sales are final: because access is delivered immediately, purchases are not refunded. See the Refund Policy for details. A free sample protocol is available so you can evaluate the Toolbox before buying.

6. Availability

I work to keep the Toolbox available and accurate, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that it is error-free, complete or suitable for a particular patient. I may suspend or discontinue the Toolbox; if I discontinue it, I will give reasonable notice on the site.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Alex Salinas Villar is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any clinical outcome, arising from use of the Toolbox. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for access.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

9. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms. The effective date above shows the current version, and continued use of the Toolbox after a change means you accept it.
